About Mindy

Mindy Pollack Fusi is a freelance and creative writer who has written 100 essays and articles for The Boston Globe and a myriad of other publications. She now focuses on coaching rising high school seniors, and transfer/Master/PhD students, on college application essays and supplements. She also  teaches college application essay group intensive 4-day workshops. In addition, she helps writers edit their work and periodically runs creative writing workshops.  Mindy’s first novel will be published in 2019…stay tuned!

Mindy has published essays for the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, and for five years, she wrote a column called “Personally Speaking” for The Bedford Minuteman.

Formerly a health care and small business public relations consultant, she graduated from Syracuse University’s acclaimed Newhouse School of Communications with a Bachelor’s Degree in Magazine Journalism, and from Boston University’s acclaimed School of Communications with a Master’s Degree in Public Relations. She earned her high school degree from Lexington High School, Lexington, Massachusetts.

Mindy lives in Bedford, Massachusetts with her husband, Steve. They have two adult daughters, Melissa and Gina, and although their two beloved cocker spaniels, Gilligan and The Skipper, have moved on, their home is now warmed by the extraverted, athletic and loveable rescue, Doogie Howser, MD.
