About Mindy

Mindy Pollack Fusi is a freelance and creative writer who writes essays and articles regularly for The Boston Globe. She also coaches students on college application essays and supplements, and teaches college application essay workshops for area adult education programs. In addition, she helps writers edit their work and periodically runs creative writing workshops.

Mindy has published essays for the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, and for five years, she wrote a column called “Personally Speaking” for The Bedford Minuteman.
Formerly a health care and small business public relations consultant, she graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Magazine Journalism, and from Boston University with a Master’s Degree in Public Relations. She earned her high school degree from Lexington High School.
Mindy lives in Bedford, Massachusetts with her husband, Steve. They have two adult daughters, Melissa and Gina, and although their two beloved cocker spaniels, Gilligan and The Skipper, have moved on, their home is often warmed by a canine when neighbors need doggy coverage.
